Hi, I'm Sara and I live in Cwmbran with my husband and Patterdale Terrier called Bailey!

I am thrilled to be working with The Fed Line Project!  My passion is all things food related, and so in 2019 I started cookery classes through 'Cook Stars'.  I quickly realised my greatest passion is working with community groups and charities.  I joined The Fed Line Project because I want to make a difference in my area, and teaching people how to cook on a budget I believe will make that difference!

My love of the kitchen comes from my Mum and Grandma.  One of my earliest memories is standing on a wooden stool licking out a ceramic bowl full of delicious cake mix! Mum passed her love of cooking and baking, there is not a time when her kitchen wasn't full of delicious smells.  I'm excited to be able to share my enjoyment and passion for cooking with organisations in Newport and Cwmbran who also work to address food poverty.

Please get in touch with me to discuss our programme.

Dear Sara

I would like to share our thanks for the brilliant Cook Stars sessions you have facilitated for us at Barnardo's Achieving Change Together Service (ACT).

Our children/young people have learnt valuable life skills during the sessions from the safe use of knives, chopping, weighing, mixing and following recipes. They have understood the importance of personal hygiene whilst cooking and cleaning/tidying up before during and after.

They have had lots of fun tasting ingredients - including a few of whom were adamant they didn't like to try new food but with encouragement they took huge steps and tasted a variety of foods new to them.

One family have sent their thanks and said "Our daughter has the most lovely time at the sessions, she is over the moon that she can attend and we are proud of the progress she has made".
Another family have said "M***** has absolutely loved cooking with Barnardos, it has given her opportunities to socialise with others, thank you so much"
